Saudia, the national airline of Saudi Arabia, has recognized leading Bangladeshi travel agencies for their role in the carrier’s continued growth in the market. The airline hosted its Agents Excellence Award Ceremony in Dhaka, celebrating the contributions of its top-performing partners throughout 2024.

Senior officials including Musaed M. Almusaed, Assistant Vice President for International Regions, and Tarik Alowaidi, Manager for Bangladesh, Nepal, and Myanmar, joined the event alongside Ahmed Yusuf Walid, Managing Director of United Link Ltd, the airline’s General Sales Agent in Bangladesh.

In his address, Almusaed praised Bangladeshi travel agents for their commitment, noting that their efforts had significantly boosted Saudia’s expansion. “Our achievements in Bangladesh reflect the hard work and dedication of our trusted partners,” he said. Alowaidi echoed the sentiment, describing agents, business partners, and passengers as “the backbone of Saudia’s success in the region.”

The ceremony honoured several agencies, including Al-Gazi Travels Ltd, Golden Bengal Tours & Travels, Sundarban Air Travels & Tours, Sunshine Express Travel Inc, Triplovers Limited, Dynamic Travels, Shah Amanat Hajj Kafela Travels & Tours, and others. Recognition was based on revenue contribution and premium-class support.

Saudia has been serving Bangladesh since 1980, operating flights from Dhaka to Jeddah, Riyadh, and Medina. The airline, which runs one of the youngest fleets globally with 149 aircraft, now serves nearly 100 destinations across four continents.

In recent years, Saudia has earned multiple accolades, including “Best Airline Staff Service in the Middle East” by Skytrax in 2025 and the “World Class Airline” title from the APEX World Class Awards for five consecutive years.

With initiatives such as its stopover visa programme—facilitating Umrah and onward travel—the airline continues to strengthen its appeal among Bangladeshi travelers heading to the Middle East, Europe, and North America.
