Bangla Travels Hosts Iftar Gathering for Bangladeshi Expats in New York
In a celebration of camaraderie, community harmony, and the sacredness of Ramadan, popular travel agency Bangla Travels organized an Iftar and Dua Mahfil for the Bangladeshi expatriate community in New York. The event took place on Sunday evening at Gulshan Terrace, drawing prominent members of the community, including business leaders, social activists, and political figures.
The gathering was attended by the agency’s President and CEO, Belayet Hossain Belal, who has been serving the community for over 25 years. In his speech, he said, “Many of our clients today have been with us for years; even their children are now our customers. My goal has always been to provide the highest standard of service so that everyone is satisfied.”
Belal also highlighted the agency’s economic achievements, revealing that Bangla Travels conducts nearly $20 million in annual business, reflecting the growing financial strength of the Bangladeshi diaspora. He noted, “While 99% of travel business in the Indian subcontinent is dominated by neighboring countries’ representatives, we have managed to sustain our position. This success has been possible thanks to the support of our clients, employees, and families.”
Attendees praised Bangla Travels not just as a travel agency, but as “a family.” They emphasized the agency’s high-quality services and customer-first approach, stating that even after traveling to many countries, Bangla Travels’ booking process and service standards remain unparalleled. “Everything is handled almost perfectly, and the agency constantly improves to make its services more professional and customer-centric,” they said.
The program concluded with the presentation of flowers and gifts to Bangla Travels’ dedicated staff, followed by a communal meal. People from various sections of the community participated, making the event a true celebration of unity and generosity.
