13 December, 2025, 7:26 am

New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani has unveiled his elected advisory committee, comprising over 100 officials, including Governor Kathy Hochul, Brooklyn Representative Hakeem Jeffries, and State Attorney General Letitia James.

After the panel’s initial meeting on Friday, Mamdani told reporters that the committee is part of his transition efforts and will help shape his administration’s focus on working people and his affordability agenda.

When asked about appointments to his administration, Mamdani said, “The focus of the work we’re doing right now over the course of the transition is building this team out, and we are looking forward to sharing an announcement before the end of the year of a number of the most important positions that will help to lead our City Hall. We don’t have anything additional to share today, but we will as soon as we can.”

The Mayor-elect did not disclose who will serve in his administration. This announcement comes over a month after he revealed his first City Hall picks, including his deputy mayor and chief of staff.
