Sonali Exchange Launches Remittance Services in Virginia
Sonali Exchange Co. Inc., a subsidiary of Bangladesh’s largest state-owned commercial bank, Sonali Bank PLC, has officially launched its remittance services in Virginia. The company has been providing remittance facilities to Bangladeshi expatriates in the United States for nearly 32 years, with operations already established in New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Georgia, Maryland, and Florida.
Following the issuance of a money remittance business license from the Virginia State Corporation Commission’s Bureau of Financial Institutions, the service is now open to Bangladeshi residents in Virginia. Customers can send money to Bangladesh quickly, securely, and free of charge via the Sonali Exchange mobile app, by mailing checks or other financial documents to its nine registered branches and booths across the U.S.
Mohammad Mohsin Kabir, President and CEO of Sonali Exchange, said expatriates using the service will be proud partners in Bangladesh’s socio-economic development and in strengthening the country’s foreign currency reserves. He urged all “remittance warriors” to play an active role in boosting the nation’s reserves.
For remittance-related inquiries, customers can call 212-808-0790, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
