How AI Is Reshaping the U.S. Job Market and Creating Opportunities for Bangladeshis

Sheikh Galib Rahman: Recently, during my visit to Washington D.C., I had the opportunity to meet leaders from some of the world’s most influential technology companies. The discussions were eye-opening. Everywhere I went, one message echoed clearly Artificial Intelligence is no longer the future, it is the present reality transforming every corner of the U.S. job market.

Over the last decade, I have worked closely with global organizations such as USCIS, the Federal Reserve Bank, Accenture, and JP Morgan Chase, witnessing how technology can reshape lives and economies. But what I see happening now with AI is unprecedented. It is not just changing how companies operate, it is redefining what skills people need to succeed and how nations prepare their workforce for the digital age.

According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, more than 250,000 AI-related jobs were created in 2025 alone. Roles such as machine learning engineer, data scientist, and AI product manager are now among the fastest-growing positions in America. From healthcare and finance to transportation and education, AI is revolutionizing industries that once depended entirely on human processes.

However, I do not believe AI is taking jobs away. It is transforming them. Repetitive, manual work is being replaced by more strategic, analytical, and creative responsibilities. Professionals who learn how to work with AI will not only remain relevant, they will lead the future.

For the Bangladeshi community, this transformation presents a historic opportunity. I have met many talented Bangladeshi students and professionals across the U.S. who are already stepping into the world of data analytics, cybersecurity, and cloud computing. Our young generation is ambitious, intelligent, and adaptive. But to truly thrive, we must focus on upskilling.

A recent LinkedIn report shows that AI-related skills are among the top five most in-demand capabilities for U.S. employers. Professionals who can use AI tools effectively are earning up to 35 percent higher salaries. Today, a skilled data scientist in America can earn more than $120,000 per year, and an experienced AI engineer can make over $150,000 annually. These numbers highlight how critical it is for us to invest in learning, innovation, and continuous growth.

At Transfotech Academy, we have been working toward that goal, empowering students and professionals to develop the skills required in this new age of automation. More than ever before, Bangladeshis need access to world-class training that bridges the gap between global technology and local talent.

Experts predict that AI will create over 12 million new jobs worldwide by 2030, and a large portion of them will be in the United States. The demand for AI specialists, data engineers, and automation experts will continue to grow across every sector. Those who start preparing now will find themselves leading this transformation instead of being left behind.

During my time in D.C., I realized one powerful truth. The U.S. job market is entering an AI-driven revolution, and those who can blend technology with creativity, problem-solving, and human intelligence will thrive. As someone who has lived and worked across both the United States and Bangladesh, I see tremendous potential for Bangladeshis to play a meaningful role in this new global workforce.

The world is changing faster than ever. AI is not here to compete with humans, it is here to amplify our capabilities. For every Bangladeshi student, engineer, or entrepreneur dreaming of success in the U.S., the time to act is now. Learn, adapt, and embrace innovation. The future belongs to those who are ready for it today.
