‘Shopping with Sabrina’ has officially opened its new outlet at Bangladesh Plaza in Jackson Heights, New York.

The store began operations Friday, September 11, following a prayer and special inauguration ceremony. To mark the opening, the store is offering customers a 50 percent discount throughout September.

Founder Sabrina said the store primarily carries Indian clothing, while its Bangladeshi collections are designed and produced with the help of its own designers. The Indian outfits are also made according to the store’s own preferences and designs, making the collections different and less common than those typically found in other stores, she said.

Explaining the decision to open a physical outlet despite strong online sales, Sabrina said many customers question clothing prices after seeing products and photos online. Some feel the prices are high without being able to assess the quality and craftsmanship in person.

The new outlet gives customers an opportunity to see the fabrics, designs and details firsthand before making a purchase, she said.

Sabrina also highlighted sizing as one of the challenges of buying clothing online. At the new outlet, customers can check the fit, choose the appropriate size and try on garments before purchasing. She said this will help reduce the uncertainty customers often face when shopping for clothes online.

Regular and summer collections at ‘Shopping with Sabrina’ generally range from $60 to $100. Special and premium outfits range from $300 to as much as $1,000.
