Expatriates in New York were mesmerized by the music and energy of popular South Asian singer Atif Aslam. The concert, hosted by Shah Newaz Group, took place on Saturday, September 6, at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, drawing thousands of fans despite heavy rain. From early evening, long lines formed outside the auditorium, where strict security and orderly entry were ensured. Organizers Shah Newaz and Rano Newaz personally assisted in welcoming guests.

Tickets ranged from $60 to $1,000, yet demand far exceeded the seating capacity. To maintain comfort, only 5,500 tickets were sold. Inside, arrangements for food, beverages, and nearly 200 security personnel were made.

At 9 p.m., Atif Aslam took the stage and performed for two straight hours. Beyond singing, he walked across the venue, shook hands with fans, posed for selfies, and shared emotional moments with the audience. The packed auditorium turned into a festival-like atmosphere with Bangladeshi, Pakistani, and Indian communities celebrating together. The enthusiasm of the youth was particularly striking.

One fan, Nadia Bakr from Florida, held a placard reading “I Love You Atif” and reached the stage, where the artist gratefully accepted it, reciprocating the affection. Many admirers were moved to tears upon meeting him. As the show ended, the crowd left with joy and expressed hope to see him again soon.

Shah Newaz Group declared this to be the largest entertainment event ever organized in New York by a Bangladeshi company. They also announced plans to host even larger shows across the United States featuring world-renowned artists. Atif Aslam himself thanked the organizers and expressed interest in returning to New York for future performances.
