Reception and Dinner Held in Honor of Abu Naser as Chief Election Commissioner
A reception and dinner were held in New York City to honor Abu Naser following his appointment as Chief Election Commissioner of the Bangladesh Society USA Inc. Election Committee.
The event took place on Wednesday (April 22) at a party hall in Ozone Park and was organized by the Kabirhat Upazila Association of USA.
Abu Naser was welcomed as the chief guest and was presented with floral greetings and honorary recognition. The program concluded with a dinner served to invited guests.
The event was chaired by Mirza Mohammad Hossin, President of the association’s executive committee, and moderated by General Secretary Emtiaz Ahmed. Among the invited speakers was Naim Tutul, a member of the Trustee Board of Bangladesh Society.
Other speakers included Election Commissioner Badrul Khan, Community Outreach Officer Nazrul Islam, IRS Enrolled Agent Kudrut Alahi, journalist Professor Syed Azad, executive committee members JAHANGIR Shahid Suhrawardy and Al Harun, community activist Saleh Ahmed Manik, and chief advisor of Kabirhat Upazila Association of USA Shahabuddin Chowdhury.
Speakers praised Abu Naser’s leadership, organizational skills, and long-standing involvement in community affairs. They expressed confidence that under his leadership, the election process would be more transparent, fair, and inclusive.
In his remarks, Abu Naser reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring a free, fair, and credible election and called for the cooperation of all community members.
