Preparations Underway for Inauguration of American Bangladeshi Welfare Organization in Bronx
A preparatory meeting was held to ensure the successful inauguration of the newly elected executive committee of the American Bangladeshi Welfare Organization Inc. in Bronx. The meeting took place on Thursday, November 13, at the Asian Driving School auditorium in Sterling Banglabazar, Bronx, with the organization’s president, Abdus Shahid, presiding.
The session, moderated by newly elected General Secretary Nurul Islam Milon, featured remarks from the Inauguration Celebration Committee members, including Convener Sohan Ahmed Tutul, Joint Convener Mia Mohammad Dawood, Coordinator Iftekhar Rahman, Joint Coordinator Zahurul Islam, Secretary Kazi Robiuzzaman, Joint Secretary Golam Rabbani, outgoing General Secretary Sheikh Jamal Hossain, Joint General Secretary Reza Abdullah, member Khobir Uddin Bhuiya, former councilor Robiul Islam, Treasurer Al Mamun Sarkar, and Rupchan Mia.
Speakers urged the Bangladeshi diaspora in New York to attend the inauguration ceremony on Monday, November 24, at Golden Palace, Banglabazar. They also called upon all members to contribute actively to ensure the event’s success.
The inauguration will be attended by the Consul General of Bangladesh, community leaders, and prominent political figures. Distinguished members of society will be honored with plaques in recognition of their contributions during the grand ceremony.
