Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has called on the Taliban regime in Afghanistan to take immediate action against terrorist proxies using Afghan soil to launch attacks in Pakistan. He made the remarks during a passing-out parade at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) in Kakul.

Field Marshal Munir emphasized that the Afghan people should choose “mutual peace and security over violence,” urging Kabul to act decisively against militants targeting Pakistan. His statements come shortly after a temporary truce was extended following clashes that left dozens dead and hundreds injured.

The army chief highlighted Pakistan’s military achievements, citing Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos in May, which strengthened public confidence in the armed forces. He stressed Pakistan’s readiness to defend its sovereignty, mentioning its ability to neutralize threats with multidomain warfare capabilities, including targeting advanced aircraft and multiple strategic bases.

Warning India, Munir said, “There is no space for war in a nuclearised environment,” and asserted that any aggression would be met with overwhelming force. He underscored Pakistan’s experience in both sub-conventional and conventional warfare and assured that the army would respond decisively to any threats.

The COAS also praised the unity of Pakistan’s people across all regions and demographics and paid tribute to soldiers, civilians, and martyrs who defended the nation. He reaffirmed that Pakistan would not lose an inch of its territory and called on the new cadets to contribute to safeguarding the country.

Munir concluded by asserting that Indian-backed proxies would be defeated and Pakistan’s armed forces would remain steadfast in protecting national sovereignty.
