Opportunity to Volunteer at the White House This Christmas

This upcoming Christmas and holiday season, individuals will have the rare opportunity to volunteer at the White House or even perform during the celebrations. Applications are currently being accepted, with the submission period having opened on August 4 and continuing until 5 p.m. on September 5. The results will be announced by October 13.

Selected volunteers will be responsible for covering their own travel, accommodation, and personal expenses. For those chosen to perform, it will be a once-in-a-lifetime chance to showcase their talent before some of the most prominent figures in the United States and other distinguished guests.

White House officials have confirmed that preparations for the Christmas celebrations are well underway. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have expressed their excitement at continuing the long-standing tradition of welcoming volunteers to the “People’s House” during the festive season.

Those interested in assisting with Christmas decorations can apply through the designated online link. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and submit applications individually, as group submissions will not be accepted. Decoration activities are scheduled to take place from Monday, November 24 to November 30.

For performers, the White House is encouraging school bands, choirs, holiday-themed entertainers, and musical groups to apply to participate in the December Holiday Open House events. Interested parties are invited to submit their applications online.
