The New York City Police Department (NYPD) has announced a new recruitment drive, inviting applications for police officer positions. According to a verified post on the NYPD’s official Facebook page on Sunday, the written exam will be held this August, and registration is now open—completely free of cost.

The recruitment poster states that new officers will start with an annual salary of $60,884, which will increase to $126,410 after 5.5 years of service. Applicants with at least 24 college credits are eligible to apply.
