NYC Affordable Housing Lottery Opens in East Flatbush, Rent Starting at $739
An affordable housing lottery has opened in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, offering apartments with rents starting as low as $739 per month, according to local reports.
The units are located at Utica Crescent, 548 Utica Avenue, and include a range of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments. Monthly rents range from $739 to $1,051 depending on unit size.
The development offers several amenities, including a fitness room, playground, courtyard, and on-site laundry facilities. Authorities said there are no application or broker fees, and applicants will not be automatically disqualified based on credit score.
Income eligibility varies by unit type. For example, studios are available for households earning between $25,500 and $38,880 annually, while three-bedroom units are reserved for households earning up to $56,400.
Officials say the lottery is part of ongoing efforts to expand access to affordable housing in New York City, where rising rents continue to pressure low- and middle-income residents.
