NTV Celebrates 23rd Anniversary in New York

Prominent Bangladeshi satellite television NTV celebrated its 23rd anniversary in New York on Wednesday, July 2. The event was held at a party hall in Jackson Heights, where the celebration began with a cake-cutting ceremony by Bangladeshi-American children Saifan Nihan and Naziha. Guests joined in the joyful moment, and NTV’s theme song was also performed.

NTV’s North America Chief Farid Alam welcomed the guests. The event was hosted by former senior news presenter Shamsun Nahar Nimmi. The vibrant gathering drew a large number of expatriate Bangladeshis who expressed joy and nostalgia.

Several notable figures extended greetings to NTV, including BNP Central Committee member Gias Ahmed, Democratic District Leader at Large Attorney Moin Chowdhury, former BNP MP Shammi Akhter, editors Nazmul Ahsan (Weekly Porichoy) and Wazed A Khan (Weekly Bangladesh), community activists Al Amin Russell and Fahad Solaiman, FOBANA executive member Kazi Sakhawat Hossain Azam, Bangladesh Society President Ataur Rahman Selim, General Secretary Mohammad Ali,

Trustee Board member Ahsan Habib, real estate investor Nurul Azim, BNP leaders Jasim Bhuiyan, Mosharraf Hossain Sabuj, Abu Said Ahmed, and Jahangir; as well as community figures Rabbi Syed, Ahsan Habib, Shahidul Islam (Weekly Thikana), Dr. Kanak Sarwar, Manowarul Islam (President, NY Bangladesh Press Club), Afroza Islam (Editor, New York Kagoj), Mashiur Rahman (Secretary, America-Bangladesh Press Club), Zakaria Masud Zico (IBTV), Saurav Imam, Salah Uddin Ahmed (Editor, UNA), Masum (Moon Light), Dewan Kawsar, Monir, journalist Zahida Alam, and young representatives Sajid Simanto, Fardin Rahman, Sabab Hossain, and Zakia Chowdhury.

Musical performances were given by Shah Mahbub and Shoshi. On behalf of the NTV Viewers’ Forum, MD Sayem Mia presented a crest to Farid Alam in honor of the occasion.
