Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia has announced her candidacy for three constituencies—Dinajpur-3, Bogura-7, and Feni-1—in the upcoming 13th Parliamentary Election. Meanwhile, her son and the party’s acting chairman, Tarique Rahman, will contest the Bogura-6 seat.

The BNP revealed a preliminary list of candidates for 235 constituencies during a press conference at the party chairperson’s Gulshan office in Dhaka. Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir confirmed the names, stating that he himself will run in Thakurgaon-1. Other notable candidates include BNP Standing Committee members Salahuddin Ahmed, vying for Cox’s Bazar-1, and Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, contesting Chattogram-10.

The party is expected to release the full list of candidates in the coming days as preparations intensify ahead of the national election.
