Eid-e-Miladunnabi Prayer Gathering and Traditional Mezban Held in New York

A prayer gathering and traditional Chattogram-style Mezban were held in Jackson Heights, New York, on September 6 to mark Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH).

The event took place in the evening at Nabanna Party Hall, featuring religious discussions, Milad and a special prayer. Imam Kazi Qayum led the prayer session.

Following the religious program, around 5,000 people attended the traditional Chattogram Mezban. Bangladeshis from different U.S. states participated in the event.

Organizers said the Mezban has been held annually since 2012 to mark Eid-e-Miladunnabi. The event initially served around 400 to 500 people, but has gradually expanded to accommodate approximately 5,000 guests.

Convener Shamsul Alam Chowdhury, Coordinator Monir Ahmed and Member Secretary Selim Harun of the organizing committee said the initiative aims to promote religious harmony and brotherhood while preserving the cultural heritage of Chattogram among the diaspora.

They thanked everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the event and expressed hope for continued support to maintain the tradition in the future.
