Donghai County Showcases Children’s Artistic Imagination in Ninth Print Exhibition
The artistic creativity of a child often surpasses imagination, and in Donghai County, Lianyungang, Jiangsu province, that creativity is celebrated in a special way. For over 18 years, the county has hosted a series of exhibitions highlighting children’s imaginative talent in the art of printmaking. This year, the tradition continues with the ninth edition of the event.

The exhibition drew nearly 7,000 submissions from young artists aged between 3 and 18, representing regions across China. From these, more than 300 exceptional works were selected for the final display. The pieces explore themes inspired by China’s rich cultural traditions and the revolutionary journey of modern China, reflecting both youthful imagination and a deep connection to heritage.

Organizers say the exhibition not only nurtures children’s artistic skills but also fosters cultural pride and awareness, making it a meaningful platform for the country’s next generation of creative minds.
