Chittagong University Alumni Federation USA Forms New Committee

The Chittagong University Alumni Federation of the USA has completed the formation of its new executive committee for the 2026–2027 term. The 19-member committee will serve for two years, with Rayhanul Islam Chowdhury elected as President and Mohammad Saifur Rahman Chowdhury Tipu as General Secretary.

The process for forming the new committee began during the federation’s 2nd convention held in Boston last August, which brought together alumni associations from multiple states. A three-member election commission officially announced the names of the newly elected officials.

Other elected members include Vice Presidents Syed Moin, Md. Maula Dilu, and Jamshed Hossain; Joint Secretaries Protap Chandra Shil and Lutfun Bhuiya Hena; Treasurer Ikramul Baki; Organizing Secretary Mohammad Huda; Press, Media, and Publication Secretary Ehsan Juel; Education and Cultural Secretary Mohammad Kamal; and Social Welfare Secretary Amana Rashid.

Seven executive members were also appointed: Chunnu Jaman, Sarwar Kamal, Abdul Wahed Mahfuz, Mostafa Amin Khokon, Saber Chowdhury, Mohammad Sarwar Hossain Farid, and Ahmed Shahid.

The new committee has pledged to enhance coordination among Chittagong University alumni across different U.S. states, strengthen the federation’s activities, introduce new programs, and support Bangladeshi students pursuing higher education. The committee also emphasized the timely announcement and execution of annual plans and initiatives, seeking cooperation from all Chittagong University alumni residing in the U.S.

Founded in 2017, the CUAF-USA continues to serve as a platform for alumni across multiple states, fostering connections, educational support, and community engagement among former students of Chittagong University.
