Bangla Sahitya Parishad USA Hosts Literary Gathering and Poetry Recital

The Bangla Sahitya Parishad USA organized a literary gathering and poetry recital in Hamtramck, Michigan, on Saturday, August 30, at the organization’s temporary office on Holbrook Avenue.

The event was presided over by President Mohammad Mujibur Rahman Shahin and moderated by Vice President Haran Kanti Sen. Renowned writer Shamsad Husam Chowdhury attended as the chief guest, while writer and lyricist Ishtiaq Rupu and former secretary Md. Abdur Rouf were present as special guests.

Poets Subimal Senapati, Sanjay Dev, Safiq Rahman, Foni De, Abul Kalam Azad, Shahriar Ahmed, Sharmila Dev, and others read their works and participated in literary discussions. Other attendees included poets Hosein Mohammad Kamrul, Hira Lal De, Abul Faiz Chowdhury, and Md. Mahbubur Rahman.

Shamsad Husam Chowdhury was welcomed with flowers and gifts from the Bangla Sahitya Parishad USA. The event added a new dimension to Michigan’s literary and cultural scene, reflecting the organization’s commitment to promoting Bengali literature abroad.
