US President Donald Trump has highlighted billions of dollars in planned business investments, tax relief, agricultural assistance and infrastructure spending in Mississippi, saying the initiatives will strengthen the state’s economy and create jobs.

In a statement released Monday, October 26, the White House said Amazon plans to invest an additional $12 billion to expand data center operations in the state, creating 700 jobs. Siemens Energy plans to invest $300 million in a power equipment manufacturing facility, while xAI has outlined a $20 billion investment plan for a data center in Southaven.

The White House also said nearly 500,000 Mississippi seniors are benefiting from the administration’s tax relief measures. It claimed the tax cuts have helped protect 46,000 jobs, generate $8 billion in economic output and preserve $4 billion in workers’ wages.

In rural healthcare, Mississippi has received $206 million in funding, while more than $104 million in grants has been allocated through 167 awards for healthcare technology, specialized treatment, maternal care and telehealth services.

The administration also highlighted agricultural assistance, saying more than $145 million had been distributed to 4,300 farmers and producers through an emergency commodity assistance program. Additional support exceeding $469 million was cited for agricultural protection and conservation programs.

Infrastructure projects include a $44 million grant to expand a major road in DeSoto County from four lanes to 10, along with funding for highway improvements, truck parking and railway bridge modernization.

The statement also cited defense-related contracts and military infrastructure funding, including shipbuilding work at Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula.

The White House presented the investments and funding as evidence of economic growth under Trump’s policies. However, the figures and projected job gains were reported as administration claims.
