First Aid Home Care and Astoria Social Adult Day Care held their annual picnic on Saturday, August 29, at Wantagh Park in Nassau County, Long Island, bringing together staff members, senior citizens and their families for a day of recreation and fellowship.

The daylong event featured games, entertainment and a variety of traditional Bangladeshi food. Families and children took part in different activities, creating a festive atmosphere throughout the park.

First Aid Home Care Director Dr. Shahzadi Parvin Sarah said the picnic is organized every year to give staff members an opportunity to relax and spend quality time with their families after a busy year of work and responsibilities.

CEO Dr. GC Pat said senior citizens were also included in this year’s event, emphasizing that they are considered part of the First Aid Home Care family rather than simply service recipients. He expressed satisfaction that the seniors enjoyed the day.

Astoria Social Adult Day Care CEO Gazi Liton said employees and families participated enthusiastically. He noted that such gatherings help strengthen friendship, goodwill and relationships among colleagues, families and senior citizens.

A raffle draw was also held during the picnic. Proceeds from picnic and raffle ticket sales were donated to the nonprofit organization Ma Foundation. Prizes were presented to the winners by Dr. GC Pat and Dr. Shahzadi Parvin Sarah.

First Aid Home Care HR Administrator Aysha Islam, General Manager Dipta Saha, HR Coordinator Kaniz Sharmin, Ma Foundation Social Service Director M.D. Mashiur Rahman, Social Adult Day Care Manager Al Amin, and other officials and employees attended the event.
