Bangladeshi Film Roid Released in 31 U.S. Cities

After earning praise from audiences and critics in Bangladesh, the Eid-released Bangladeshi film Roid has expanded its international journey with a theatrical release across the United States.

The film premiered on Friday in 31 cities across 20 U.S. states, offering North American audiences—including the Bangladeshi diaspora and international viewers—an opportunity to watch the acclaimed production. International distributor Bioscope Films is overseeing the U.S. release.

Directed by Mezbaur Rahman Sumon, Roid was released in Bangladesh during Eid-ul-Adha and continues to be screened in cinemas across the country weeks after its debut.

The film stars Mostafizur Noor Imran and Nazifa Tushi in the lead roles, with supporting performances from Gazi Rakayet and Ahsabul Yamin Riyad, among others.

Prior to its U.S. release, Roid began screening in Australia on June 5. The latest rollout further expands the film’s international reach and audience base.
