Bangla Press Club Michigan Holds General Meeting
The Bangla Press Club of Michigan USA held its general meeting in the U.S. state of Michigan, emphasizing community development and strengthening the organization’s activities.
The meeting took place on Sunday evening (March 29) at a restaurant located in the E-13 Mile area of Warren city. The session was chaired by Partha Sarathi Deb, president of the Bangla Press Club of Michigan USA and Michigan correspondent of Prothom Alo in North America. It was conducted by General Secretary Jewel Khan, who is also the Michigan correspondent of News24 Television.
Several prominent members and journalists addressed the meeting, including Helal Uddin Rana, special correspondent of Dainik Manabzamin and former president of the press club; Iqbal Ferdous, former general secretary and U.S. correspondent of Jamuna Television; Senior Vice President Shafiqur Rahman; Joint General Secretary Sanjoy Deb, editor of US Bangla; and executive committee members Haran Kanti Sen, Farzana Papri, and Faisal Ahmed Munna.
ATN Bangla Michigan correspondent Mahfuzur Rahman Adnan was also present at the event, and the press club leaders formally welcomed him during the meeting.
Speakers thanked the members for their positive contributions toward the welfare of the Bangladeshi community. They also called for collective efforts to further strengthen and accelerate the activities of the organization under the newly formed committee.
