Elon Musk Meets BRIDGE UAE Leaders
Elon Musk, the chief executive of X, SpaceX, Tesla, and Starlink, has held talks with the leadership of BRIDGE UAE to explore new avenues of cooperation in media, technology, and artificial intelligence. The meeting took place at Tesla’s headquarters in Palo Alto, California, where the UAE delegation invited Musk to participate in the inaugural BRIDGE Summit in Abu Dhabi this December.
The UAE team was led by Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, chairman of the UAE National Media Office, the Media Council, and BRIDGE. The discussion highlighted AI, data centers, and content integrity as key drivers of the next phase of technological transformation. Musk emphasized that countries investing in clean and affordable energy to power large-scale data centers would be best positioned to lead in AI development. He noted that the UAE has already built a competitive edge in this area.
Al Hamed responded by underlining the UAE’s commitment to providing sustainable, low-cost energy and fostering global competitiveness. Both sides also examined the role of ethical regulation in balancing innovation with responsible use of advanced technologies, especially in AI-driven media and content creation.
Musk praised the UAE’s leadership for its long-term vision, particularly citing the contributions of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence in strengthening the country’s role as a hub for innovation.
The talks further covered opportunities for collaboration in educational content to engage youth in science and entrepreneurship, linking media narratives with green technology, and expanding partnerships between the UAE’s media ecosystem and global tech leaders.
Al Hamed said the UAE sees media as “a powerful force capable of reshaping knowledge and building awareness,” stressing that partnerships with innovators like Musk could accelerate solutions that deliver tangible and sustainable results.
The BRIDGE Summit, scheduled for December 8–10 in Abu Dhabi, is expected to be the world’s largest debut gathering focused on media, content, and entertainment, offering a platform to test bold solutions and redefine the role of media in a technology-driven future.
